DEX (Decentralized Exchange)
Buy, sell and trade native Basis assets with leverage
Trade Native Assets
The DEX is the native decentralized exchange of the Basis platform, serving as the exclusive marketplace for buying and selling all Basis Tokens (Stable+, Floor+, Predict+ and the BASIS platform token itself).
Core Functionality: Provides a seamless and user-friendly interface for swapping between Basis Tokens and their paired assets (BASIS for most Basis Tokens, USDC for Basis).
Technical Architecture: Built as a system of smart contracts on the Ethereum network, ensuring transparency, censorship resistance, and non-custodial trading (users always retain control of their private keys and funds until a trade is executed). All Basis Tokens are ERC-20.
Liquidity Model
Unlike traditional AMMs that rely on external liquidity providers depositing pairs of assets into pools, liquidity on DEX is primarily established through the direct purchase of Basis Tokens.
The token's own smart contract manages its internal ledger and the logic for price determination based on its specific framework (Stable+ or Floor+) and the bonding curve during the initial phase.
Buys mint new tokens, effectively adding to the "sellable" supply at the current or a new price. Sells burn tokens, removing them from circulation.
MEV Mitigation: As detailed in the "Security Measures" section, the design of Basis Token contracts and the internal liquidity mechanism aims to make common MEV attacks (like sandwich attacks) economically non-viable or significantly harder to execute profitably, especially for Stable+ tokens.
Fee Structure: A flat 0.5-1.50% fee is applied to all buy and sell transactions on DEX. The distribution of these fees is detailed comprehensively in the "Tokenomics" section, rewarding token creators, bond phase participants, NFT holders, and contributing to token price support.
User Experience: The DApp interface for DEX is designed for ease of use, allowing users to connect their Web3 wallets, select tokens for trading, view price charts (where applicable for Floor+), and execute transactions with clear confirmations.
