Token Frameworks

Creators utilizing the Basis Token Factory can choose between two distinct and innovative token contract types for their projects: Stable+ and Floor+. These frameworks are engineered to address critical market needs by offering novel solutions for achieving stability, growth, and fair participation.

Token Supply and Distribution

Basis Tokens (Stable+ or Floor+): These are tokens generated by creators using the Basis Token Factory and the supply is dynamic:

• Minting: New Basis Tokens are minted when users purchase them on DEX using the paired asset (typically Basis, or USDC for Basis itself).

• Burning: Basis Tokens are burned (permanently removed from circulation) when users sell them on DEX.

• There is no pre-minting or fixed total supply for Basis Tokens; supply adjusts based on demand and trading activity.

BASIS (The Platform Utility Token):

• BASIS is the native utility token of the Basis platform. It is itself a Stable+ token, initially paired and purchased with USDC.

• BASIS serves as the primary liquidity pair for all other Basis Tokens (both Stable+ and Floor+) launched through the Token Factory. For example, a new "MyBrandToken" (Stable+) would be traded as MyBrandToken/Basis.

• Its supply is also dynamic, minted on purchase with USDC and burned on sale.

Cascading Growth Effect: Because every Basis Token created on the platform is paired with BASIS, any price increase in BASIS (due to its own Stable+ "up-only" mechanics and demand) can positively influence the value of all other Basis Tokens paired against it. This creates a potential cascading growth effect throughout the ecosystem.

No Pre-Minting, Team, or Partner Allocations: A core principle of Basis is fairness. There are no pre-mined tokens, no tokens allocated to the development team, advisors, or partners. All participants, including the creators of new Basis Tokens, must acquire their tokens through the public purchase mechanism on DEX. This aligns incentives and prevents unfair advantages or sell-offs by insiders.
